We can give you a rough idea of the volume by examples in person, but often we'll have you load what you think you'll need and then come back to the office to show us, where we will evaluate the amount.
These measurements will give you an idea of the volume, but the weight of each material is a very important consideration. Generally a typical pick-up, carrying rock or sand (our heaviest materials) is recommended not to exceed one yard (~1 ton). Lighter materials, such as compost may be able to do 1.5 yds, and the lightest such as bark or clean green waste can carry up to 2 yds, after which the volume will spill over the bed sides.
Yes, if you are hand-loading you are more than welcome to get less than 1/2 yard of material. We can sell amounts down to 5 gallon bucket increments. Another option is our bagged material which comes in 1-2 cubic feet per bag.
Delivery- If you are getting material delivered to your home or site, 1/2 yard is our minimum.
It depends, at a higher cost you can drop it off mixed for a higher drop-off cost because we will have to do the separating. If you'd like to save a bit of money you can this at home before you come in, and this courtesy is appreciated by our yard staff.
Any concrete that is larger than 24" +12" thick is considered oversized. We do accept it but the charge is a little more, we also ask that any rebar or wood must be cut away from the edges of the concrete.
We do not give any discounts or price breaks for our products. However, if you order over 24 yards of material in one purchase to be delivered to your site or home, we can give you a delivery discount.
